Brian Campbell:
Born in London, England and raised in New York, Brian started DJing in his suburban home on Long Island. After a lengthy career spinning at house parties and local clubs, Brian decided to move to Texas in order to seize on an opportunity to work on a local radio station. There he began producing the weekend mix shows and custom remixes of the current top 10 songs being aired each week. Brian then decided to use his experience of mixing and manipulating beats to create original rhythm tracks for local artists and producers. Feeling that he had gone as far as he could on the radio, Brian then decided to move to South Florida to take part in the burgeoning electronic dance movement. After landing a job at a local college Brian met his soon to be musical partner Razi. Realizing their mutual love for music and diverse cultural background, the duo decided to form The Stepbrothers Productions.
Russ (Razi) Ben-Ezzer:
Musician, producer and recording engineer, was born in the Bronx NY and raised in israel. In addition to being a recording engineer in Tel-Aviv, together with his sister, Ellyott, Ami Levy and Shabi Uziel was a band member and producer of "Pollyanna Frank". In 89 recorded and produced the album "lived and died in the closet" and in 90 just before moving to the United States has recorded and produced the group's acclaimed album "No Choosing." Once relocating to the United States, worked as a producer and a engineer with Jerry Marota (Drummer for Peter Gabriel, Paul McCartney and many others), Peter Inalus, (Grammy Award winning recording the theme song of "The Bodyguard", Whitney Houston), Eddie Mashal (Grammy winner, recorded the "Eagles" albums), the Commodores (also Grammy winners) and the TV series" the Fugitive" on CBS.
Russ was exposed to a great variety of middle-eastern and old world music. After moving back to the U.S, Russ began honing his skills in computerized and digital music. With his partner, Brian, Russ is active in production in both the American and Israeli music scene.
The Stepbrothers:
Initially The Stepbrothers began producing Techno-Bass CDs for a handful of Tech-Bass labels in the South Florida area until that musical fad died out. The Dynamic Duo then set their sites on producing remixes for various local and national known artists; including an opportunity to co-produce a remix with Michael Zager, of the “Michael Zager Band” who wrote and produced the Disco Classic “Let’s All Chant”. The Stepbrothers co-produced a single for legendary R&B diva Jennifer Holliday. In August of 2005, the Stepbrothers were requested to produce a house remix for Orlando based R&B artist Sissaundra Lewis' new single “Shout”, which consequently topped the Billboard Dance Charts.
A4 Productions Music:
In 2008 The Stepbrothers decided to launch their own label, A4 Productions. Their debut release was with a talented Brazilian singer/ songwriter Fernanda (Nanda) Grossi, who hails from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish. The Brothers co-wrote and produced a single for Nanda “My Biz”; which was released on A4 Productions, the single peaked at #4 on The “R&R Record Pool” Charts and two of the “Electro House Mixes” entered Beatport's Top 40 Electro House Chart. In July of 2011 The Stepbrothers were asked to add their unique sound to remix and produce a new Baha Men project set to be released in early 2012. The 1st single is titled GO! Was released in August of 2011 on the duo’s A4 Productions label.
A4 Music Group:
A4 Productions has grown from an Electronic Imprint to a multi-Genre music group (A4 Music Group). A4 Music Group now has Urban, World and Pop Music divisions with Hip-Hop and Pop acts all set to be released in the very near future…….
